Earn Money Online: Swagbucks

I absolutely ♥LOVE♥ Swagbucks, it is one of my favorite ways to earn money online, and I can’t imagine not having it.

Ways to Earn With Swagbucks:

Searching– which we already do anyways, so why not get paid
Shopping online– earn for shopping through their links
Taking surveys– you can earn for taking online surveys
Special offers– you can earn for completing special offers
Swag codes– every now and then there will be swag codes out and you just enter them in your account
Swagbucks TV– you can earn 3 Swagbucks for every 10 little videos you watch
Trade Ins– earn for sending in old cell phones, mp3 players, video games and consoles
Referrals- you can earn 1 Swagbuck for every one your referrals earn up to the first 1,000
Toolbar– you earn 1 Swagbuck for every day your Swagbucks toolbar is open
Daily Polls– answer a quick poll question to earn 1 Swagbuck per day
NOSO– No obligation Special Offers, click through about 5 offers and earn 2 Swagbucks per day

Getting Paid With Swagbucks:

Swagbucks lets you cash in your Swagbucks for cash via PayPal, gift cards or prizes. Amazon e-gift cards start at 450 Swagbucks for $5.00 and PayPal transfers are 700 Swagbucks for $5.00. They have a lot of variety, and there should pretty much be something that appeals to everyone.

How I Do Swagbucks:

I use their toolbar to do almost all of my searches, do the daily polls, NOSO, enter occasional swag codes and watch a bit of Swagbucks TV. I used to always cash out for the $5.00 PayPal transfer, but recently since they added new prizes, I’ve waited until I can get the $25.00 one instead.

How Much You Can Earn From Swagbucks:

Using the assumption that you will download the toolbar and use it for almost all of your online searching, do the daily polls, no-obligation special offers and gathering the occasional swag codes about once per week.

You could probably earn about 11,000 Swagbucks or more per year. Which if you chose the Amazon.com e-gift cards would be $120.00 worth. Or if you picked PayPal, it would be about $70.00. There are many different gift cards and prizes to choose from, these are just examples.

Earn More Money with Swagbucks:

Refer your friends, shop online, watch Swagbucks TV, complete special offers, take surveys, trade stuff in or find more swag codes. The more you do, the more you will earn.

Earn Money Online: Swagbucks — 21 Comments

  1. How much do you make from swagbucks? How long does it take you to earn that money too? Can you earn more money doing something else or is it a side hustle that doesn’t get in your daily way?

    • Let’s see, in 2010 I made $120, in 2011 I made $165 and so far in 2012 I’ve made $75. This is all in cash using the PayPal cash out. I could have gotten much more if I would have snagged the Amazon gift cards for 450 Swagbucks instead.

I don’t really spend much time earning Swagbucks, I have my toolbar (Google Chrome) set up so that all my searches are done through Swagbucks. It’s a no-brainer that way, otherwise, I probably spend 5 minutes or less a day.

  2. I remember hearing lots about swagbucks when I started blogging and I’d see it on some blogs’ sidebars, but I just never gave it a chance. If it can be done without getting in the way of my other work too much, I probably should look into it. I suspect that the key to really doing well is to be able to refer a lot of people who will take part. It does sound like a good concept anyway.

    • I can’t imagine life without it, it’s fairly passive for me since I do a lot of searching. I even type in “Master the Art of Saving” when I need to do blog work.

I’ve only had a few referrals who actually earned me anything, so I’d be doing way better if I had more referrals.

  3. LOVE Swagbucks! I’m pretty sure you only get referral points for when they earn swagbucks through searching, though. And Jai and Jeremy, I think it’s worth it. Just use it as a search engine if you don’t want to do any of the other stuff. That way you earn money for what you’d be doing anyways.

    • I think Swagbucks is worthy of another chance, even if you just use it for searching…it’ll add up. :-)

  4. I tried it about a year or so ago and couldn’t get into it. I know if I were more committed to it, I probably could have done better, but I juts didn’t have the heart for it.

    • You really should, Hank. It’s really easy and they have a lot of gift cards, prizes and even PayPal transfers.

  5. I use SwagBucks, and the easiest way to make bucks is to do a lot of referrals. Of course, that’s the part I’ve had the hardest time doing. :( But, their coupons are pretty sweet too! My wife coupons plenty, so I just go through and print off coupons, and then rack up 10 points per coupon as she uses them.

    • I don’t use firefox, but I know that I was able to set up Google Chrome so that any searches will be through swagbucks. If I couldn’t do that, I probably wouldn’t use it as often.

  6. You’re so interesting! I don’t suppose I’ve truly read anything like this before.
