Welcome to another weekly edition of “Where Did The Dough Go?”. Below you can get a completely open and honest view of what we’re spending money on, how much we’re saving, investing and putting away for retirement. Please feel free to learn from our financial mistakes if at all possible, it’s way better than making them yourself.

Notes: It’s nice to have around 30 bucks in leftovers to transfer to our emergency fund this check. This last week we didn’t eat out at all, I’m hoping to keep this up for the entire month (as mentioned in my April goals).
Nothing really too magical happened this last week (finance-wise). I still haven’t been able to afford some of the household items I want to get; well actually I could have gotten some if we didn’t spend so much money on dining out last week. What’s done is done though.
I was hoping that this next check would be better, but it’s not going to be. My honey had to call in sick 1 day because he was puking his cute little brains out, so it’s going to be on the small side. I’m sure it’ll be fine, I just need to pay more attention this next pay period. Hope you have a great week. 😀
How did your budgeting/spending go this week?
I always appreciate your transparency. Really incredible.
Thanks Thad.
“Beer for Honey” is clearly too low a number. Tell him I’ll vote for a larger allotment of your budget if you call my spouse and vote for a larger beer allowance in mine.
He actually spends about 100 bucks a month on beer and whiskey. LOL. I don’t tell him how much he can and can’t spend on alcohol; I wish he’d spend less, but it’s pretty much his call.
My week hasn’t been that great spending-wise. Too much money spent on a bakesale we’re having on Saturday! It’s all for a good cause though.
If it’s for a good cause, maybe you could just pretend you donated it. Then you won’t feel so bad.
Good job on the “no eating out” week! Keep it up!
Thanks Pam. I’m fairly confident that I can make it through the month without spending any money eating out…we’ll see.
