Notes: Yay! I’ve made it 2 whole weeks without eating out so far, now I just have to keep it up for the rest of April. Our check was really small this pay period, so instead of transferring 50% over our root income (which I usually try to do), I just went ahead and threw all of it in savings.

I know it would be much more beneficial to do on a larger check, but that’s going to take some time to be able to do. We sure don’t have much left for next week, $69.07. It’s really more like $49.07 because I have 3 sets of daily transfers, I’m interested to see how that goes. I hope you had a great week. :-)

  1. That’s amazing! I desperately need to stop eating out and I want to know how you do it. Lol. My new workplace has people that mainly bring their lunches so I guess that will motivate me a little more.

    • I’m just not allowing myself to eat out, you know—trying out that whole willpower thing. If most people are bringing their own lunches, it should make it easier for you (hopefully). :-) Good luck, Daisy.

    • I know, it feels kinda scary having less than 50 bucks for a week. I can’t believe I’ve actually made it 2 weeks, I hope I can keep it up. :-)

  2. Sorry to say this, but every time I see your where did the dough go report, I think to myself – they have got to quit smoking! it is taking up such a huge chunk of your expense. Anyway, I won’t mention it again.
$50 is not a lot, but I’m sure you can do it.

    • LOL. You don’t have to apologize, Joe; I’d be doing the same thing if I didn’t smoke. It makes the most logical sense to easily reduce our expenses and have more money to work with. :-) At least you’re nice about it, putting all our spending out like this opens me up to all kinds of potentially nasty comments. :-)

  3. Good job not eating out!! I wanted to check out this mac & cheese restaurant and visit a museum this weekend, but the budget says no. Maybe in two weeks we can — hopefully!
