The past few months, I’ve been thinking about how much stuff we have. I’ve also been trying to figure out how to reduce it in a realistic manner and possibly make some cash.
We live in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment and it is packed full, really. The master bedroom’s walk-in closet has no clothes whatsoever in it, instead it has been transformed into my office. That was actually my Valentine’s Day present this year from Honey; he is so wonderful.
Anyway, back to my point. I was thinking the other day about what Juicy Couture bags (purses) I actually use—realizing that I could get rid of all but 2 or 3 of the purses and be totally fine.
Most of them have only been used 2 or 3 times, awful I know. So why not just sell them on eBay? I could make some cash, reduce the amount of stuff we have and make somebody else a proud owner of some Juicy gear. Sounds like a win-win to me. Hopefully after the fees I’ll end up with around $150, maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
My Action Plan
♦ Get up on eBay and peek around at the prices Juicy bags are going for
♦ Gather all non-essential Juicy bags and wallets
♦ Take some sexy pix for the listings
♦ Throw those bad boys up on eBay and make some cash
I try to glean my bookcase 2x a year to sell my personal books on Amazon before they lose too much value…I just sold 5 books for $75, in two days! a quick way to add to the savings fund.
I’ve always had great luck with selling high end stuff on Amazon. Plus, it’s nice to earn a little extra $$ from time to time.
@shannon- Wow girl, 5 books for $75! That’s freakin’ awesome and probably way more than you’d get on eBay. Great job!!!
@Work At Home Market- I’ve never actually sold anything on Amazon before, but after both you and shannon have great success, I’m thinking I should look into it. Is it fairly similar to posting stuff on eBay as Buy it Now?
way easier, you just enter the ISBN and it brings the book up that your looking to sell…if it ranks fairly low and sales for over $5, I would do it…you just click the “I have this to sell” button and it walks you thru it…just match the lowest sales price and you will sale pretty quickly!
@shannon- I’m definitely gonna check this out if we decide to move over to e-books. That sounds super-easy and much better than eBay by far. I love reading but lately I’ve been considering e-books to reduce our massive amount of stuff and to make life simpler. Thanks a bunch shannon!
