I don’t know about you, but I like getting money for stuff I no longer use. For some strange reason, I tend to keep my old cell phones even though I don’t use them any more. Seriously, in our storage unit right this second, I have 3 old cell phones.
Enter SellCell, an online comparison site that helps you discover how much you can get for selling your old cell phones—even broken ones. Imagine if you were to an sell iPhone, that would be a nice check.
You simply enter some information about your cell phone and it matches you with the top phone buyers willing to purchase your phone.
Then you just choose the best offer, ship them your phone for free and after they inspect your phone, you will receive your payment. The payment options differ by the company you choose to sell your phone to.
Various Payment Options:
- Check
- PayPal
- Money Order
- Pre-paid Visa Gift Card
- Walmart gift card
*There might be other payment options available aside from these, but these were the only ones that appeared when I was researching.
After we move into our first house and get our stuff out of storage, I’m going to make sure to hop back on their site and see how much I can get for my three old phones. They aren’t the most popular models, but even $5 to $10 each would be nice; it’s much better than having them sit in a box.
I sold my old cell phones for $10 each just a few weeks ago. It was a nice bonus for something I will never use again.

We don’t have any cell phones that are worth anything. We have Jeff’s old-ass phone that was cool 10 years ago, and we let the baby pretend it’s her phone. She puts it in her little baby purse and says “LO!” into it! hehe

Haha, that’s so cute—plus at least it’s getting used.

Our phones are still “dumb”, so I don’t think they are worth anything, but worth checking into. Thanks.

Yeah that’s how I felt about mine, but even a few bucks is better than nothing.
