Notes: We went over budget by $8.46. That really blows! The vet visit for Roxy really screwed up things this week. We had been anticipating the cost to take her in for a quick exam so that she could get her shots (they make you pay for the exam too, I doubt it’s necessary). I’d been planning to spend about $100 for the quick exam and the shots, but then she got sick again.

So we took her in and they gave her anti-nausea medicine and put some electrolyte sack in her body (this seemed really creepy to me) and sent us home with 2 cans of bland food. No testing, just sucking up our money. We could have fed her a bland diet and maybe some unflavored pedialyte (anybody know if you can give that to dogs?). It was pretty much a waste of our time and money to take her in—she still needs to go back and get her shots. Aaaah!

Aside from all that ranting, we stuck with our goal to only dine out once per paycheck, so far at least. I really should have planned this paycheck out better, I didn’t really end up accomplishing as much as I would have like to. I need to buy more vitamins, a pair of slippers, a shredder (it’s really building up) and a couple other little things. Hopefully things will go better with the next one, even though we’ll have to pay for puppy shots.

How did your budgeting/spending go this week? Any trouble areas?
