Opinion Outpost is one of my favorite survey sites.
Ways to Earn with Opinion Outpost:
Taking Surveys– Surveys at Opinion Outpost usually are between 10 and 25 points each, sometimes less and sometimes more. If you don’t end up qualifying for a survey, you can enter the sweepstakes, make a donation or spin for a chance of winning up to $50.00 (the amount varies from time to time). I have actually won $50 on a spin before, no kidding, you can see my post here.
Most of the surveys are fairly easy and can be done while watching TV or whatnot, you don’t have to be super serious and devote 100% of your attention to them.
Getting Paid with Opinion Outpost:
Opinion Outpost gives you 6 options for getting paid right now (these change from time to time as well).
$3 Alawar PC Game Gift Code= 30 points
$5 Amazon e-gift card claim code= 50 points
$5 Donation to the Red Cross= 50 points
$10 PayPal Cash= 100 points
$50 Restaurant.com Gift Card= 100 points *Restaurant.com usually has a lot of great deals, so I wouldn’t waste your points on this one without checking into it first.
$15 Citi Pre-paid Visa card virtual or physical= 150 points
How I do Opinion Outpost:
I used to try for almost every survey invitation they sent me. Even if I didn’t end up qualifying, I still had a shot at something. I would save up my points and cash out when I have enough for a check to be mailed to me.
Since Opinion Outpost no longer offers checks, I opt for the PayPal cash instead. This year, I’ve barely done any surveys. Every once in a while I will remember about them and try my luck. I do miss earning lots of money from them, so I’ll most likely get back into the swing of things soon.
$$$$$$$$$$ It All Adds Up! $$$$$$$$$$
How Much You Can Earn From Opinion Outpost:
Assuming the average survey point value of 18, if you qualified for 1 survey a week you could probably earn around $93.00 a year. So, if you qualified for 2 surveys per week that could be around $186.00 a year.
Earn More Money with Opinion Outpost:
Obviously, the more surveys you take the more money you can earn. You never know, maybe one day you might win the a cash prize too. So, the more you put in to this, the more you can get out of it.
You can go here to sign-up.
I’ve signed up for a couple of surveys and it seems that you have to go through a million pages of offers before you get to the survey. Very frustrating.I have done some for work topics and have gotten paid for those, usually aroound $20, so not too bad.

Some of the survey places take forever to actually get started. I don’t remember exactly how long it took to get going with Opinion Outpost, but I don’t think it was very long.

I’ve always been a pretty big fan. Lately it seems that I’ll get database errors quite often indicating that their website isn’t exactly as stable as it probably should be.

That’s no good. I’ve really been slacking on doing surveys lately…just not enough down time.

I just read an article this morning about a PhD student that paid back all his student loans using rebates and survey money. It takes a lot of work, but it all adds up!

Wow, good for him. That’s really impressive, but it must have taken forever.

Good to see a survey site with a halfway decent payout!

Personally I don’t think surveys are something I’d pursue. I think the companies are more interested in US opinions. I have heard people making decent money with mystery shopping though which would be cool.

I looked into mystery shopping a few times, but I just didn’t want to deal with paperwork. Plus, having only 1 car would really limit the opportunities for me.

I’ve been doing online surveys through Pinecone. When I started, I would get paid $5 per survey and be entered to win a $500 sweepstakes for updating my profile. They’ve since updated it to $3 per survey. I earn about $100/yr. If I was doing it purely for income, I’d probably pass, but I like getting mailed new products to try. How much you earn depends on how often they email you, but I don’t know the payout for new people. I just use Paypal to get the cash.
You need to be referred to them by a current member also.

Before I was big on investing, I used to use these types of survey sites all the time. Every month or so I’d get $10 cash! But then they missed on payment and I got kind of upset. But that was some other company; not this one. If you’ve got nothing else going on, getting paid a few bucks for some surveys isn’t too bad.

I’d get upset if somebody didn’t send me a payment too. I’m sure you’re getting much better returns from investing, than from the time the surveys would take.

Although surveys do work in earning real money, I find that the person on the other end is making the most profit. I know because I was that other person at one point and trust me when I say that the sun is brighter on that side 😉
