A new month means new goals. Here are my goals for December 2011:
• Get my Alexa ranking under 115,000.
• Submit at least 7 posts to blog carnivals.
• Close my bank account at Bank of America before December 14th to avoid their ridiculous fees.
• Decide on what my financial goals for 2012 are going to be. I totally have to accomplish this one because it’s December.
• Have 40 followers on Twitter.
• Get the Evil Credit Card balance under $400.00.
• Save at least $25.00 in our Travel Fund.
• See what I can do about our new luggage getting replaced or fixed. The super-awesome luggage we got here has ripped inside (both of them in the same place), the outside is pretty much indestructible but not the interior. *I failed to do this last month.
• Contribute at least $50.00 to our Roth IRA.
• Save at least $50.00 this month by using coupons. I used to rock at couponing, but have really put it on the back burner.
• Try to come up with a good idea for a guest post I can write. I’ve been blogging for over a year now, and I still haven’t wrote a single guest post. Feel free to throw out some ideas for me.
• Find a way to eliminate one of our small expenses, preferably an unnecessary one.
Non Personal Finance Related Goals:
• Lose 5 pounds this month.
• Take Roxy in to get her yearly shots. *I failed to do this one last month too.
• Scan the big pile of stuff I’ve had sitting on my printer for the last 700 years.

Please feel free to leave your monthly goals in the comments, then we can see how we all did when the month is over.
New Month’s resolutions! Rock it – I canonly imagine what the 2012s are going to look like, heh.
Hopefully they’re gonna be awesome.
Those are awesome goals!
You are more than welcome to do a guest post on my blog about couponing since I suck at that.
Thanks Marissa, but I actually SUCK at couponing now too. When you get out of it, things change—the longer you’re out, the crazier it seems when you go back. I’m just going to try to ease back in a little.
Just a word of caution. Be careful with the coupons. You may find yourself overspending just to “save” the $50.
You are so right, that’s going to be the hard part—finding $50 worth of coupons for stuff we are going to buy anyway. Good looking out, Nick. Coupons can be great, but depending on how “in” to them you get, it can get out of hand. I wrote a post about it, called Extreme Couponing Reality Check here —> http://www.mastertheartofsaving.com/2011/07/26/extreme-couponing-reality-check/
Great goals. I like the idea of putting them out there for everyone to see, to help hold you more accountable to it.
Thanks KC @ Psycho Money, it really does help me stay focused (most times).
Writing guest posts is not as easy as it seems. I suck at guest posts. I simply don’t have time: I need to write for my blog (priority #1), moderate comments, and I am a staff writer at two other blogs. Plus full time job. Plus I want to work out. That’s a lot of time that I don’t have! lol
Your goals are great and VERY reasonable. Good Luck with everything. I will be watching your progress.
You sound pretty busy, I can totally understand not having the time for writing guest posts. At least you’re able to keep up with all that other stuff, Wow. Thanks, I hope do good with them this month.
Hi, I just started my weekly goals. I like how your are so specific. I am hopn’ to follow ppl to stay motivated. I need some motivation. Good luck. Stopping by from Money Saving Mom’s link up. :0) Karen
Having (and working towards) goals is fun. I hope you’re able to find the motivation you need to achieve your goals, Karen. Good luck.
