Notes: We spent more on alcohol this paycheck because we had a margarita night, yay! We had some left-over margarita mix, so it was nice we didn’t have to buy that too. Our household spending is going to be a bit higher over the next couple of paychecks because I’ve been putting off replacing things. We got a new blanket for our bed this time, but we still need to get a few more things.

I’ve been looking around and found the perfect towels, comforter and sheets, and I should be able to save money on them by getting them when they’re on sale and using coupons. These things really should have been replaced like a year ago, but by waiting…I’ve found the exact ones that I know will last a long time (quality-wise and with my unique design style).

We only ended up coming $3.42 under budget this paycheck, so I’m just going to leave it in our checking and continue building that buffer. :-) I hope your week went good.

  1. I can relate to putting off replacing things around the house. I’ve got the same blanket that I used as a teenager. My couch is falling apart and I have some phone books acting as one leg. My desk could probably use replacing too. Maybe once I go back to working full time I’ll consider replacing some of these things.

    • Yep, it’s crazy! It’s going to be so much nicer to do our budget once we quit smoking (one of these days). :-)
