I love your idea of the “How Should I Use The Extra Money? You Decide” post. It seems like a great way to drive reader engagement.
Thanks Juan. I’ve done about 4 of those so far, and I’m planning to do some more this year. It’s a lot of fun and I’m hoping that with all the input from voters, that it will help people with their own decisions.
Congratulations on a big year Jen. The thing that I really like about your blog is that you’re always experimenting with new ways of presenting things. All the very best for 2012.
RE: Best Buy – I had a terrible experience with them, that I finalized today. I was given a BB gift card for Christmas…a big one. I went to the store as soon as possible to puchase a camera I had my eye on. The clerk messed up entering the card correctly and it froze the account. The best they could do was re-issue the crad (via head office) and it would be mailed to me in 7-10 days. Really! Thallts the best they could do. Anyway, got the card in the mail today, and returned it for a full refund on my wifes credit card. Happy to spend that money where humans work.
Thanks Hunter. Sorry about Best Buy being out to get you. It seems like they are getting worse each day. They totally could have handled it differently, like given you a new card right there…managers do have that power. Especially when the clerk (their employee) screwed everything up. I get irritated just writing about them, lol. Crazy!
