Where Did The Dough Go? #40

Below you can get a completely open and honest view of what we’re spending money on, how much we’re saving, investing and putting away for retirement. Notes: I can’t believe we spent almost $200 on groceries this paycheck, that’s nuts. I know we got a lot of pantry items, but still…normally it’s around $100. At least we ended up saving more money than we spent on food. I went ahead and transferred our left-overs to our Christmas 2012 savings instead of our Emergency Fund like I’ve been doing lately. I really want to check it off my February goals because I’m hoping to eliminate the evil credit card this month if I’m lucky. :-)

    • I know it sounds bad, but I feel a bit better that I’m not the only one. It better last a long time, I don’t like spending so much.

  1. Congrats on no spending for 4 days!! In NYC there are so many things to spend on everyday (taxi, energy boost, food, more energy boost). Hopefully you will find a way to cut that grocery bill.

  2. Wow…4 no spending days! That is fabulous! Our grocery budget is the hardest to control also. With four kids, I can have a full pantry one day and an empty pantry two days later.

    • Thanks Pam. :-) Thankfully I just have to worry about feeding 1 kid, I couldn’t imagine having to shop for 4 of them. That’s gotta be expensive and exhausting.
